Privacy Policy

The short version

• No accounts, no sign-up, no email collection.
• No tracking cookies. No cookies of any kind are set by this site.
• No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts, no social embeds.
• Your input values never leave your device — they are computed in JavaScript in your browser.

What runs in your browser

ElectroCalculators is a static site. Each calculator page is plain HTML delivered from a CDN, with a small piece of JavaScript that performs the calculation locally. When you change an input, no request is made to any server — which is also why results appear instantly and why the calculators keep working if you lose your connection after the page has loaded.

Data stored on your device

Two things are stored in your browser’s localStorage, and only ever read back by this site on your own device:

• Your theme preference — whether you chose light or dark, so the page does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit.
• Calculations you explicitly save — pressing Save stores the calculator name and your input values locally. Nothing is saved unless you press that button.

Neither is transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser’s site data removes both.

Input values in the URL

As you change inputs, the address bar updates to encode them — that is what makes a result shareable. This happens entirely in your browser and creates no server request. Be aware, though, that if you share such a link, the values in it travel with it. If you paste a calculation into a public forum, treat the numbers in the URL as public.

Server logs

This site is served by a content delivery network. Like every web host, it processes standard request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — in order to deliver the page and to protect against abuse and denial-of-service attacks. We do not build profiles from these logs, do not use them for advertising, and do not combine them with any other data. They are retained by the CDN under its own operational retention policy.

Embedded calculators

Any calculator can be embedded in another site via an iframe. An embedded calculator behaves exactly like the page it came from: it computes locally, sets no cookies and sends no input values anywhere. If you meet one of our calculators on someone else’s site, that site’s own privacy policy governs everything outside the iframe.

Links to other sites

Calculator pages cite standards bodies, datasheets and reference texts. Following those links takes you to sites we do not control and whose privacy practices are their own.

Children

The site collects no personal information from anyone, of any age. There is nothing to collect it with.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data a service holds about you. We hold none: there is no account, no profile and no database of users. If you believe otherwise, or want to ask about the CDN’s operational logs, write to [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If the site ever adds analytics, advertising or any other third-party script, this page will be updated to say so before that change ships. Material changes will be noted here with the date they took effect.
